Smoke and CO detection
Providing two layers of protection for your home and your family, the Nest Protect will detect smoke and carbon monoxide. It’s advanced sensors allow the nest protect to identify the difference between fast and slow burning fires, smoke and steam, providing you with accurate details of the dangers and cutting out false alarms. The CO sensor lasts 10 years where many on the market only last 7.

Advanced warning notifications
With a natural and calming human voice the Nest protect can inform you of exactly what the danger is and where it is. If there is smoke in the kitchen your device will say “Please be aware, there is smoke in the kitchen”, you then have the option to silence this if it is simply burnt toast. If this is not silenced the system will then provide you with an emergency alarm and warning. This intelligent notification system can make the false alarms hassle free.

Self testing system
Nest Protect checks its batteries and sensors over 400 times a day, as well as being the first alarm to use sound check to test it’s speakers once a month. With all of this testing you can feel assured that your devices are working effectively. You are also able to quickly generate a full testing report via the mobile phone application.

Receive notifications wherever you are
While a standard smoke and CO alarm will only notify you of any issues while you are in the property, thanks to the Nest Protect being internet connected, it can also notify you of any emergencies at your home through the mobile phone application, wherever you are.

Combine with your smart home
The Nest Protect is a key part of a complete smart home, and is compatible with all Nest products and a wide range of third party products. This can be combined with heating systems, to ensure the boiler is turned off the moment it detects carbon monoxide, or combined with appliances such as the cooker, switching it off when fire is detected, and even poses benefits for the hard of hearing, by combining with lighting systems so the lights flash when there is an emergency.

Light the way
The Nest Protect will light up when you walk underneath it, providing you with a guidance light through your property at night, whether you need to leave the property when there is a power outage, or just to simply get a midnight snack.
